Why is there a max recommended embedment by Hilti?

The NSCP code section 417.3.2.3 specifies that adhesive anchors should not exceed an embedment depth of 20 times the anchor diameter. To comply with this code requirement, HILTI limits the maximum embedment depth for adhesive anchors accordingly. Hilti’s recommendations for maximum embedment depth aims to balance safety, performance and compliance with industry standards.
