Proper Torque
Following the traditional installation method helps ensure the mechanical anchor is properly set. The manufacturer's listed installation torque expands the anchor wedge properly and provides clamping in the connection.
Over Torque
Applying too much torque to the nut will result in the mechanical anchor being over torqued. Over torquing may result in catastrophic damage to the base concrete or the integrity of the anchor itself being compromised.
Under Torque
Not reaching the recommended installation torque results in the wedges not being fully expanded and less than optimal clamping. This can result in higher displacement of the fixture.
